With over 40 years of experience in crime and investigation, I serve as the lead independent security risk assessor, dedicated to protecting high-profile individuals (VIPs) such as Business executives, CEOs, accountants, and IT specialists. Refined over decades in the South African Police Service and the field of independent security risk assessment, is called reverse crime engineering. It means viewing your security risks not from a single angle, but from five different perspectives.
Here’s what we look at:
- Home Assessment
Your home is your safe space, but it’s often where attacks start. We assess every detail, from gates, driveways, and lighting to even your daily habits, and provide clear, practical solutions to mitigate every security risk. - Travel Assessment
Criminals love predictable travel routines. We assess your routes, especially to work, and provide unpredictable solutions, making it harder for anyone to plan an ambush. - Workplace/Business Assessment
Your place of work can hide numerous security risks, like insider threats from employees or subcontractors. We assess your business premises to identify and eliminate all security risks.
The first two assessments center on personal security, offering customized, risk-specific solutions to protect the VIP and his/her immediate surroundings. The third and final phase is a corporate assessment, completing the trio of assessments.
Each independent security risk assessment is personal.
If we’re working with multiple people from your company, the business assessment might overlap, but your home and travel routes are unique to you.
Last year, we conducted a risk assessment for a Durban executive who didn’t realize his regular coffee stop was making him an easy target for a crime syndicate.
